NOIZ! Youth Worship Camps offer Musical and Spiritual
Training to Christian Teen Musicians & Singers, Ages 13-19, AND Adult Youth Leaders of all Denominations. Current band membership is NOT necessary.
Promotion Q. I want to tell others about the camp! What should I do? A. 1. You can begin by emailing this page to a friend, using the 'Email A Friend' Option above (big red button). Also, Like THIS page on Facebook (above), then Like the Facebook Event page itself; announce it on Twitter; tell your other musician/singer friends about it. Call people. Maybe call a few churches in your area. The sooner you do this, the more likely a) your camp will hit the 50+ attendees mark, which triggers the iPad giveaway, and b) if they sign up soon enough, they can also get the $15 off discount. 2. Download an 81/2 X 11 Promotional Poster, and hang it at your church or others' churches, in music stores, or any other place where young musicians go. Download Promotional Flyers - Click HERE 3. Call or Email people who head some of your local 'youth oriented' organizations... such as a Christian Radio Station, Youth For Christ or other youth organization, or a local Christian athletic program. Remember... we are INCLUSIVE of all denominations.
Finances Q. I REALLY want to come, but I can't afford it. What can I do? A. Don't just give up... Get into Fundraising Mode! Here are some ideas... 1. Begin with prayer. God has many ways of providing that you're not even THINKING of! His resources are infinite. Ask according to His will, then make your need known. Then, start working... 2. Ask your church if they will sponsor/scholarship you. Youth programs often budget for precisely this kind of thing. 3. Do some fundraising! Send out letters through U.S. Mail, email, or Facebook to let them know your need. 4. Ask a parent/relative to pay for it now (so you can get the discount) and pay them back through your work & savings. 5. Do some part-time work specifically to save for this event - weed pulling, grass cutting, painting, repairing... What has God gifted you to do?
Parents/Chaperons Q. My Parents are interested in Attending/Chaperoning. Are there any limitations/guidelines for this? A. Yes. 1. First of all, understand that parents are God's appointed authority & steward over you. Michael Warner Ministries (NOIZ!) not only blesses, but encourages parental attendance for all sessions and activities, if they are able. 2. Parents of attendees may register for the camp as well! However, their role & inclusion in certain events/activities will be different than for the Youth or legitimate Youth Leader seeking training. Although invited to sit in and participate in classroom style discussion, the Camp Bands and musical work shops would be observation-only for parents. You may also be called upon to help or chaperon by the camp staff. As parents, you also would not be eligible for the iPad giveaway. That's only for teens aged 13-19! 3. If parents are interested exclusively in chaperoning for that weekend, you may call the camp & negotiate that role directly with them. Technically, you would not be part of the NOIZ! Camp program, but would be officially a helper of the camp itself. They can discuss/negotiate terms & price (as you would be staying & eating there).
Q. Are my parents allowed to come early on Sunday (before checkout) and 1.join us for Dinner & 2.for the last session? A. 1.Sometimes - and 2.Always! Each camp is owned/run individually. NOIZ! is a guest there, like everyone else. Some camps will permit parents to join for the meal. Others won't (without additional charge). Check the individual Facebook Event Page for that specific camp, which will give details such as this. If still unclear, call that camp directly and ask them! Concerning the final session... parents are ALWAYS encouraged to attend with their children. We would be honored. *NOTE: Each camp will have its own long-established rules & regulations. We encourage you to visit the camp website and make sure you know them, and are prepared to abide by them. The following are the NOIZ! guidelines. Where there is a discrepancy between NOIZ! and the camp's guidelines, we will expect our attendees to default to whichever standard is the LEAST permissive. For example... if the camp says curfew is 11:00, but NOIZ! says it's 10:00, you will be expected to abide by 10:00. But if NOIZ! says it's permissible to keep lights on until 12:00 and the camp says 11:00, then we will abide by the camp. 1. Dress Code: a. Pajamas/Sleep Clothes - Girls & Boys sleeping quarters will be separated and supervised. Pajamas & night clothes will not be permitted outside of your room, OR in an area that would be considered common to both boys & girls. Attendees are expected to wear adequately covering night clothes in their bedrooms (which often have other room mates). b. Women: Daytime dress should draw attention to your face - your beauty in Christ. Please refrain from wearing bare midriffs, sheer shirts, short-shorts, or dress/clothing that is distractingly tight. Shorts are permitted, but not short-shorts. Skirts are permitted, but not mini-skirts... skirts should be no higher than the knee. c. Men: Pants are expected to be non-baggy and appropriately pulled up. Males are not permitted to wear piercings to this camp. NO exceptions. d. General: No clothing is permitted which contains depictions inappropriate or not God-honoring. T-shirts should not depict secular bands or artists, ungodly movies, or unbiblical slogans or profanity.
2. Language: Not only do we ask that attendees refrain from profanity or crude talk, but we request that you speak in an edifying and respectful manner to your fellow attendees, chaperons, and camp staff. We fully expect that several of our attendees may not even be saved by the Blood of Grace. Wouldn't it be awesome if YOU were to be the one who leads them to the Lord?
3. Music: In many respects, this weekend is about music. However, this weekend is Holy - meaning 'separated' for the Lord. Therefore, we ask that the music you choose to listen to OR play/sing with others be 'dedicated' music, speaking only of God and His glory. You may be asked to turn off/cease from listening to or playing certain music at our discretion.
4. Phones/Internet: The camp will have a phone that can handle any 'emergency' communications. Therefore, because this weekend is 'dedicated,' no cell phone, laptops, or handheld devices are permitted this weekend. The whole point is that you might be focused upon each other & God, and NOT to remain in constant connectivity to those not in attendance. If there are extenuating circumstances, you must have a parent contact us by phone beforehand. Thank you for your cooperation & understanding.
5. Personal Hygiene: - Many people will be in close quarters for the weekend! It is vital that each attendee practice good personal hygiene as a courtesy to others.
- Showers must be taken each day and as needed.
- Deodorant is a must.
- If you forget to pack them, most personal items such as deodorant, shave cream, or toothbrush will be available at or near the camp.
- Some camps offer soap & towel service. However, bring a towel & soap just to be safe!
- As a courtesy to our other guests, we will not hesitate to instruct or remove an attendee whose hygiene becomes distracting or problematic.
6. Curfew, Accountability, & Chaperons: There will be adequate chaperons & accountability provided by the camp throughout the entire weekend. We invite you to contact the camp as to their details concerning this matter. NOIZ! has established an 'in room' policy by 11:00 P.M. and 'lights out & quiet' policy by midnight.
7. Alcohol/Tobacco/Firearms/Illegal Substances - At no time are alcoholic beverages allowed to be possessed or consumed if you are attending/helping the NOIZ! camp.
- Firearms or other assault weapons are also not permitted on the premises.
- No children under 18 are permitted to possess/consume ANY tobacco products.
- For adults of legal smoking age: NOIZ! would prefer that you refrain from all tobacco use throughout the camp weekend (including chew, pipe, cigar, and cigarettes, etc.). However, NOIZ! will defer to the established tobacco policies of the host camp, concerning a designated smoking area. NOIZ! will ensure that no attendees are exposed to tobacco smoke.
- If anyone is found illegally using or possessing a controlled substance, they will immediately be turned over to legal authorities.
8. Dismissal From Camp: For those found in willful violation of stated policies: We will not hesitate to expel those who disregard the policies of NOIZ! or the hosting camp. Expulsion, if necessary, will be without refund. As a Christian Camp, with a Mission to disciple young worship musicians, we take our charge seriously. We're asking you to do the same. In keeping with this, we will resort to such extraordinary measures (if we must) to foster an environment conducive to learning of His glorious attributes, and discovering their Mission in Him.
After Signing Up... Q. I signed up... Now what? A. 1. Do your best to promote your camp (see the FAQ tab, and download the promotional Flyer). Keep in mind that more will be spiritually touched, but also you can help the camp reach its 50+ attendees to trigger the iPad giveaway! Who knows? It could be YOU! 2. Read THOROUGHLY the 'Technical & FAQ' tab's contents. It is identical to the contents you were asked to cut/paste/save after you purchased your registration. Show your parents, as they will also need answers to those same questions. 3. Email a list of topics that you personally would like to see addressed at the camp. most out of camp as possible. 4. Pray. Talk to God about your going, your heart for worship (or lack thereof), your talents, ask Him how you can help others... A father doesn't expect their children to be perfect and all-knowledgeable. He just wants his kids to discuss all things with him. God wants that from you, too. Just speaking with Him opens your heart to His mind and will for your life. Check In/Out IN: Our first session will begin at 7:00 P.M. If possible, you should arrive and check in by 6:00 P.M. That will give you enough time to unload your equipment, get settled into your room, and be to the opening session on time. Generally, attendees may arrive at any time after 3:00 P.M., but some camps may not have your room ready for an hour or two. Be reminded that NO dinner will be provided Friday evening, so eat before arriving! A light snack, however, will be provided later that evening. OUT: The final session will begin Sunday, loosely around 6:30 P.M. (I say loosely, because it will begin immediately following the 5:00 dinner). That said, checkout will be approximately 8:00.
Meals Your registration cost is all-inclusive, and covers Meals/snacks for the entire weekend. They are as follows: Friday - ONLY a late night snack is covered. NO dinner! Saturday - Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner, plus snacks at various times Sunday - Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner, plus snacks at various times. Whether or not parents arriving on Sunday are able to dine with the attending children is at the discretion of the camp. There may be an additional charge payable to the hosting camp for this privilege. Please contact them for those details.

What To Pack/Bring - Clothes - Classroom clothes; outside play clothes; jacket/sweater; pajamas; robe; slippers; shoes/sneakers; underwear & socks.
- Medications & Personal Toiletries

- Bible
- Instruments/Equipment - Bring your instrument! And depending on your instrument, bring: a case, a stand, a small practice amplifier (if applicable), remember your power cords, extension cord & splitter, patch cords, pedals, guitar picks, your sheet music or book, music stand.
Medical Care/Allergies If you have any allergies or medical conditions that you anticipate may be a factor at camp, please notify the hosting camp's staff directly, PRIOR to your arrival. In general, most camps are able to accommodate those with physical limitations or special needs. However, you are responsible for checking with the camp itself concerning these issues. Each camp has its own Medical Policies & Procedures. NOIZ! has established no medical policies superseding that of the camp itself, and accepts no medical responsibility for camp attendees. Camp Agenda As of this time, we are NOT including a downloadable agenda. The reason is that each camp will be slightly different, and it would be impractical to endeavor a standard agenda. Testimonies!
Youth: - “I am 15 years old and in the process of helping build a youth praise team. Everything said today made me understand and become very determined to do the work of the Lord. After today, I have a new perspective on [praise and worship teams]. Even though it won’t be easy, I’m ready to take on the pressure for God. I’m so very grateful that I came here today because if I didn’t, I’d be lost.” – R.S.
- “Today, many things inspired me to change a lot of things in my life. I am ready for a great change, and I am willing to sacrifice many things to become more like God!” – E.J.
- “I see clearly now the error of watering down [Christ’s message] down for the sake of presenting it culturally.” – C.P.
- “My eyes were opened about Christian bands, habits of teens in those things, and many, many more things.” – A.C.
- “Incredible. Mike Warner is incredibly gifted and informed in articulating the true values of a Christ-centered team. I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to define what worship is.” – D.M.
- “This seminar has opened my eyes a lot. It has made me think about what I need to be as a praise leader/dancer/singer, and also [as] a person…” – M.C.
- “Being in a group and working with others who may not always see things the way I do, the devil tends to play on our [lack of unity, which] blinds us to our true purpose.” – J.M.
